Start working on your essay over the summer. This gives you time to brainstorm and have a draft ready for people to review when fall rolls around. Your first draft should never be your final draft. Make sure to proofread and edit your essay carefully. Ask your parents, friends, teachers, guidance counselor, and others if they would mind reading your essay and giving you feedback.
